TED txt

One of the largest projects at the Norwegian School of Creative Studies is a magazine project. This project requires students to create a 32-page magazine on a theme of their choosing.

After some thought, I decided to name my magazine TEDtxt, inspired by the TED conference and its mission to share “Ideas Worth Spreading.” TED was founded in 1984 as a conference bringing together people from the fields of technology, entertainment, and design. Since then, it has grown to encompass a wide range of topics. I am a big fan of TED talks and often watch them in my spare time.

At the time of this project, TED did not have a text-based format for sharing its ideas (although TED books were released shortly after I completed the assignment). I wanted to create a magazine that offered a “smart” and visually appealing alternative to the “wall of text” feel of a lexicon. By combining engaging design with thought-provoking content, I aimed to create a magazine that would inspire and inform readers.
